My true enemy – any damn progressive I see

December 13, 2010

In my brief blogging career, I have had only two comments deleted on other people’s blogs. Anyone who reads my writing knows I do not use what are generally accepted as bad words (basically stuff you can’t say on regular television) and I do not personally criticize my commentators. Nor have I ever deleted a non-spam comment on my blog.

The first comment of mine deleted is immaterial but I have never even tried to comment on that blog again, it is the second one that is bothering me and also leads to the overall theme of this post, just bear with me a second.

I will not name the blog my comment was deleted from because this is not meant to be a whine and I am not trying to call out anyone, but lets just say I frequently (as in daily) read and comment on this blog, and I truly respect the main author’s opinion and writing ability. My comment? I guess it could be argued it was quasi-inflammatory – I singled no person out (it was not a flame) and addressed the comment to “you liberals”, which puts it in the realm of “if this applies to you, pay attention, if not, don’t worry about it”. The most offensive word I used was “bastard” – which again was not directed at anyone specifically.

The main premise of the comment was how liberals only complain about the deficit when it comes to tax-cuts – they love them some deficit when it comes to stimulus, bail-outs, Obamacare, Consumer Protection, etc.

I don’t care what you do with your blog, it’s yours. But if you are a conservative, you are playing into our enemies hands by silencing voices on the right while allowing the left freedom to speak their minds without rebuttal.

Did I call them our enemies? You are damn right I did. I have come to the realization over the last couple days that the progressives are truly my enemy and the enemy of all conservatives. When you look at the evidence, I don’t see how you can come to any other conclusion.

Come on fleece, enemy is a bit hyperbolic don’t you think? Hell no! Okay, maybe you are right if you look at it from the traditional viewpoint of allies and enemies – i.e. my enemies want to kill me; my person. In some ways, I actually respect my traditional enemies more than progressives, because Islam or North Korea only want to kill my body. Progressives want to kill my soul.

Progressives hate everything about the way I think. They hate my view of the world. They hate I am allowed to raise my children – hell, some of them hate I am allowed to have children. And I am not just being bombastic here, they truly hate these things.

Let’s look at how devious the true enemies of America actually are.

They completely run our school systems. Progressives understood a long time ago that it is almost impossible to convert adults to the liberal way of thinking, in fact, historically the opposite usually happens, most progressives eventually become more conservative over time. So they have systematically dismantled our education system to “train” our children to the “correct” way of thinking. Many of you readers are very protective of your children, but look at what we are allowing our enemies to do – teach our children that their parents are evil, stupid, backwards, racist, Islamophobe, extremists, who should be ignored. Most of us love America and what she stands for – progressive teachers teach them the exact opposite.

Think about that for a second. The most important part of my life is my children, and yet I am allowing the state to teach them the exact opposite of everything I believe. They are teaching my children that they are victims, and personal responsibility is impossible. They teach my kids that the government is the first and only “parent” they will ever need. They are killing our kids souls when they are most vulnerable.

You think I am wrong? How often do you see your kids during a school day? Personally, I see my kids for a max of five hours, before they have to go to bed. Conversely, they spend 7 hours in school. And of course, conservatives are very respectful people, so we make sure our children look up to teachers and listen to what they have to say. So that is seven hours of my children being a captive audience to someone trying to brainwash them to a way of thinking most of us can agree is destroying our country.

That is just one aspect of my enemy’s behavior. What else do we have?

They are trying to destroy our culture. Not change, not improve, destroy. We are the only country in the world who doesn’t guard its borders, even though an overwhelming majority of Americans want our government to do so. Here is how retarded our border security is – we actually have more troops in South Korea guarding that country’s border than we have in America guarding ours. Think about that.

We are a Christian nation. I don’t give a flying you know what for all the bull crap you hear about how that statement is wrong, the facts are, over 70% of Americans are Christian. Our government was founded by Christians, despite what your communist teachers tried to tell you in school. We are surrounded by Christianity. Yet we aren’t allowed to embrace, love, celebrate, hell practically even talk about that religion or heritage. But we must damn sure protect every other religion out there, and allow them to embrace, love, celebrate and talk about their religion and heritage. Why do our enemies do this?

Because if you don’t care where you come from, then you don’t care where you are going. Even better, if you hate where you come from, then you are more motivated to fix the evil place that spawned you.

And progressives think America is evil. They hate America, and they hate Americans. Progressives don’t consider themselves Americans, they are too cosmopolitan for such provincial thinking. To a progressive, they are children of the world. To them, America is just a land-mass with a group of people who are no different than anyone else. America is nothing special except for one thing – we are the perfect whipping boy.

You might not think progressives are your enemy, but they sure as hell think you are. Look at how they speak about conservatives. We have been called every name in the book. We have been accused of wanting to kill children (remember the anti-Bush add), we hate black people, we want old people to “die quickly”, we hate Islam, we hate gay people. This is not rhetoric from a group of people that loves us. And it goes way beyond the behavior of people that just “have differences”.

And this is why our enemy is winning. Conservatives inherently believe in allowing people to be. We don’t believe in “forcing” our views on others. We think everyone has the right to live and think the way they see as best. Thus, we don’t resort to the same tactics. We don’t try to infiltrate liberal children’s schools and teach them that America is great, or should be cherished, or that they live in the greatest country on earth. When we are told the sheer utterance of the word Christmas is considered hate-speech, we let it slide off our shoulders because we know we can still use it in our homes, because that is what we care about most – our families. But if we care so much about our families, how come we are letting their souls be attacked by people who truly what to destroy them? They don’t want to “change” our minds, they know that it is too late to do anything against the adults. No, we just get marginalized, and silenced, and ridiculed for the way we think. They are gunning for our kids. And it is freaking working.

Would you let someone come into your home for seven hours a day to talk to your kids about how racist you are? Or how evil America is? Or how democrats care about poor people and republicans hate poor people? Or how Christianity is evil, but Islam is peaceful?

Do you let your kids watch MSNBC? Of course not, but you might as well, cause that is basically what they are getting in their schools every single day. But to stay on television, they also get it from watching the shows that kids like. Disney channel is one of the most progressive channels on the dial. Kids not old enough for Disney yet? Okay, how about Sesame Street. Nice and progressive. Hell even regular old Fox (not the news channel) is progressive, don’t think so, watch Family Guy or the Simpsons some day.

Do you know why schools are getting away from teaching proper methods of reading and writing? Because being able to read and write allows you to think for yourself. You can seek out knowledge. You can read the unbiased writing of a century ago, or a millennium. If you can’t read, or are never taught that reading is healthy and important, what do you learn from? The television. Hate to tell you, Fox News is a little outnumbered.

Of course there is the internet. Who wouldn’t want their kids to be surfing the internet all night “learning” about history, or America, or politics? As we all know, the internet is unchecked and uncensored (as it should remain) and it is not the place for malleable young minds to “learn” anything. Kids (and most adults) don’t know how to parse language to see a slant. They are naive to the tactics of the left, so they read something and believe what it says.

The internet also has video, kids love video. Go to YouTube and look at the most popular channels – you aren’t going to find any bastions of Christian, conservative thought tearing up the charts. I think this speaks more to conservatives feeling it is improper to proudly yell from the rooftops their beliefs, unlike progressives who assume everyone thinks like them and have no compunction about saying the most inflammatory things to strangers in line at the grocery store.

All these attacks on conservatism are not by accident. They are orchestrated and systematic attempts to change the way our children view the world. I can think of no more evil in the world than attacking another person’s children, and progressives do it on a daily basis. If you can’t call a person who does that an enemy, you need to grow a pair.

Progressives are our enemies, whether you know it or not. They know it. They love that you are too stupid to see them for who they truly are. You better wake-up or you are gonna be one of those sad-sack conservatives who found out their offspring voted for Obama – oopsy, guess you should have talked politics with your kids dumb-ass, cause their teachers sure as hell were.

Bang on, Fleece. Someone has needed to say that for a long time and now you’ve said it. Thank you. People need to understand , you don’t always get to choose your enemies sometimes they choose you. On the education front we, the conservatives, must become activist. Many states are red now. We need to seek out and put conservatives in the local and state School Suoerentendent’s position and then we can make changes in the school administratons and then we can effect school policy. Not easy but we can do it.

    • December 13, 2010 5:57 pm

Yes we can do it, but people need to realize what they are up against. A concerted effort to change the hearts and minds of their children. I think too many of America think the progressive teacher has a good heart but is misguided; guess, what, it doesn’t freaking matter what their intentions are, if they want to destroy my children and my country, then they are evil and need to be stopped.

You are spot on with this post. We are losing this battle because we believe–rightfully so–that every American has the right to free speech, so we let the liberals bash us every chance they get. We try to be above them, but they keep tearing us down, in th eend it could be our downfall. Sometimes you must get in the trenches no matter how dirty the job, and we have seen how dirty the liberals can be. It is time to join them in trench warfare!

    • December 13, 2010 9:29 pm

Yep. It is a tough line to follow. I want to be a good example to my kids (as progressives are not, their kids are the biggest brats on the planet) so i try to be inoffensive and bite my tongue when I hear some prog stating his retarded views in public, but maybe if we all called these bastards out they would be much less compelled to voice their worthless opinions.

      • December 13, 2010 10:40 pm

A good point! Maybe the reason why they are so bold is the fact that we never call them out in public. Maybe if we knock them down a notch they will be less willing to be so obnoxious.

      • December 14, 2010 12:06 am

Its like a bratty kid – they act that way cause their parents let them.

Not only are they winning the battle for the minds of youth, but we help them by attacking our own when they prove to be human and fail us. Whenever any Conservative is found to have committed some supposed indiscretion, the conservatives are the first to demand their head on a platter. Case in point, Newt Gingrich. Now, I’m no great lover of Newt, but when his book deal caused him heartache back in the 90s, who were the first to demand he step down. The Republican Caucus. Fast forward, and ALL of the members of congress, the President, the First Lady, you name it, have book deals, and no one even blinks an eye. When Liberals are disclosed to have some picadillo, the liberals all circle the wagons and come to their defense. Where are the calls for Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters to resign? Instead, we see a slap on the wrist for Charlie, and poor Maxine, she had to back off on her demand for a trial in the lame-duck session, but you know she won’t get anything worse than Charlie. Of course their race hasn’t played any part in the leniency allowed by their accusers. s/o And, of course there is the ever present “unbiased” media to run cover for them, but the first to demand resignation for a conservative with even the slightest problem.

    • December 13, 2010 9:31 pm

I agree completely. This all goes back to Saul Alinksy and his rule, “Hold the opposition to their impossible standards” and don’t let them hold you to any. Considering all politicians are scumbags who don’t deserve to “serve” us, I don’t see why we even bother holding ours to any standard whatsoever. Its time to take the gloves off and call all these crooked bastards to the carpet.

That’s right, Fleece…get the range on the SOBs & fire for effect. On a brighter note, I just posted Remember Bob Hope at http://crockettlives.wordpress.com/2010/12/14/remembering-bob-hope/
Don’t know if any of the vets that frequent your site were around for any of Bob’s shows, but they were a bright spot at a dreary time. I invite everybody to remember a great American and honorary veteran who spent his holidays trying to make ours a little merrier.

Hey thanks for the link to a great patriot.

What a fantastic tribute you wrote. Thank you. =)

I think that too many times, we take a principled approach to public debate, and treat the other side as a honorable competitor. They are not. They are unprincipled. They will lie, cheat, and steal to achieve their goals. And they certainly have no honor.

Let me be plain in saying that the more that we deal with the left, the more that I am convinced that we are battling with evil.

    • December 14, 2010 9:48 am

      My thoughts exactly.

  7. December 14, 2010 3:50 am

WOW you are long winded 🙂
Good rant though and damn straight. Progressives are my number 1 target. Should all hell break loose they will be easy to find. They will be in a fetal position somewhere complaining that the disaster wasn’t thier fault. Although throughout history it has been. It will repeat itself if we allow it.

You can see the progressive foot print on places like LA, and Detroit. You can see the utter failure in states like California yet they keep plugging away trying to drag the entire nation down that road. When will people wake up? I tell you when:

When people decide that the food they are being provided with by the state is poison, when they see the inner cities for what they are PLANTATIONS for democrat voters. Until then we are stuck in a never ending battle.

I posted about class war recently and that is the starting point of what’s coming.

    • December 14, 2010 9:51 am

Yeah, I ran a bit long on this one, lol.

Class warfare is the best tool for the progressives – they learned a long time ago it is much easier to legislate from hate than it is from love. Everyone can get on board with punishing the rich, but not many people are big on giving to the poor.

  8. December 14, 2010 4:34 am

    Colin,
I agree with most of what you have said, especially about how the progressives are ruining our schools and indoctrinating our children. That is one of the very reasons why my wife home schooled our daughters. We now have a granddaughter who will be attending school in a few years and I hope we can stay vigilant enough to combat the untruths she will be presented with.

As you know, my main coauthor on Political Realities leans more to the liberal viewpoint, although I wouldn’t call him a progressive at all. I know some people may not understand why I allow Mike to post, but it works for me. Even though I am staunchly a conservative, I think it is advantageous for us to hear both sides of the argument and to be fair about it. I don’t think that requires us to shut up and sit down while the progressives are out in full force. We shouldn’t have to take a back seat to anyone, much less a progressive liberal.

    • December 14, 2010 9:54 am

I don’t have a problem with Mike, I also think it is good to hear other people’s perspective – my rant was geared at the full on progressives who truly think America is and has always been evil.

  9. December 14, 2010 6:49 pm

Nicely done Fleece. I think every conservative blogger has this same ephiphany at some point, and it’s usually sooner rather than later. The question that lingers is how to deal with them. Just leave them alone? We know you aren’t going to enlighten them. But if you let a cancer continue to fester, we’ll have to continue to fight this battle over and over again. The results from the last century say the progressives are winning. How much longer do we just try to ignore them and hope we can isolate them and weaken them? I only know it hasn’t worked to date.

    • December 14, 2010 6:57 pm

No it hasn’t, and with them controlling the education of our children, our way of thinking will soon be a footnote in history, along with America. Very sad – baby boomers suck, from the greatest generation to the worst in one step.

  10. December 16, 2010 8:29 am

man I sure would like the back story on this

    great post

    • December 16, 2010 5:31 pm

      Thank you so much.

There is not much of a backstory, some times I lie on the couch just thinking about stuff, kind of brainstorming for inspiration, and usually when i think politics I tend to get a little passionate.

  11. December 19, 2010 10:31 pm

Shout it, sister! You wrote what I’ve thought now for months. If I didn’t have my faith in God, and know that ultimately He wins, (though I may or not see it) I would be very discouraged. The left have been working for decades, slithering into the schools, colleges, the media, and now, most concerning to me, Christian churches and institutions. Have you looked lately at some of the position and policy statements from some of our mainstream churches? Sickening.

You’re right on target with everything you said. They are our enemies. They do wish us harm. They would likely do physical harm if they knew how. But their words are harmful enough, to infect the young and the clueless. I was taught to take the high road whenever possible; it has become impossible in most cases when discussing with progs; they resort to vile verbal attacks pretty quickly.

Here in Oklahoma, we just elected a new school superintendent who is GOP, but more importantly, a sensible sharp woman with common sense and is reportedly a dynamo with energy to spare. Several years ago she started two charter schools, specifically so her own children would have good schools to attend. I pray that she will not be stymied at every turn; hopefully with our new GOP governor and our GOP-controlled state legislature she will have some success at making some of the changes she wants. She is not a fan of the teachers’ union. It will be interesting.

Great blog! My first time here. Found you via Larry, at Political Realities.

    • December 19, 2010 10:47 pm

Thanks so much for visiting and commenting.

Yes, the Christian church in America is much like the GOP – they see their numbers shrinking but can’t understand it is not because we the people are changing, its because the church itself is. The churches believe they need to be more moderate to appeal to a larger tent (again, like the GOP), but by doing so they are the mechanism for their own destruction. The churches are supposed to be the lodestone for our moral compass, they exist to reset ourselves when we might stray to far from the path, but by becoming more moderate (which in my opinion just means they are becoming secular) they utterly fail in that regard. Without that purpose, the church then serves as nothing more than a meeting place, which I think we can agree, there are a lot more interesting venues to meet in.

I am happy you come from Political Realities, I love Larry’s blog and I am glad to have one of his readers visit. Thanks! =)

Good comment about the churches. As I like to say, “I didn’t leave the Episcopal Church, she left me!” Many main stream churches are so busy trying to appeal to “everyone,” they don’t provide any moral compass to anyone. When you don’t believe in something, you don’t believe in anything. If you don’t believe in anything, there is no place for the Christian Church, because in Christianity that is all you have – belief. You have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. You have to believe that He died for your sins, and wrose into Heaven. When a “church” thinks that these are just children’s stories, then they become nothing but social organizations. There are a lot of those around to compete against (i.e., Elks, Moose, VFW, etc.). And, I would say that these organizations will win out every time, because they actually stand for something, require their members to adhere to some real rules, and in general are a lot more fun.

      • December 20, 2010 1:18 am

Absolutely. I have always believed one’s relationship with God is personal, and no middle-man is necessary, but I do see value in organized religion. Assuming of course they hold true to their principles. Conversely, when they stray, they become more harm than good. I am not speaking to corruption in the churches, any large organization of humans will eventually cede to the pull of corruption – I am talking about the loss of the moral high ground that a church requires to be relevant. Of course no man is perfect, nor is an organization of men, but to lose your guidance in the hopes of adding to your attendance is the wrong way to go about it.

I believe America is an extremely religious country, we have just been convinced that we are not. When the churches join in on the push to secularism, they are only exacerbating the problem – not to mention the big tent they hope to seek is stock full of people who have no need for the morals and principles of the church in the first place, so I don’t understand what the churches seek to accomplish, unless it is just money.

  12. December 20, 2010 7:53 am

Colin, I apologize for calling you ‘sister,’ I don’t know what I was thinking, brother. 🙂

The secularism of the churches is driving their membership numbers down, I think. I left organized religion 20 years ago when I was a fairly active member of a large metropolitan church, after having grown up in a small warm truly Christ-centered home town church of the same denomination. The large church just felt so vague, and sounded vague. And didn’t want to offend anyone.

I don’t seek to offend, but there are just some things that must be stated, and stated without reservation. Having left the city four years ago and come back to the family farm and rejoined my small church family again, where Jesus remains the focus, I have been reminded of how much delight and support a truly Christian group can provide. I think you’re right, in the sell-out churches it likely is about the money.

    • December 20, 2010 11:13 am

Hey no sweat, I have been called a lot worse, lol.

The odd thing about the sell-out churches, is they must recognize the size of the “flock” of the televangelist churches, which are by no means meek in their pronouncement of faith, nor remotely secular. I am not saying they should model themselves after these tv churches, but there is evidence aplenty to show that becoming more secular does not lead to more attendance. It must be easier.
