High Treason: Obama and Holder Drop Indictments Against Muslim Brotherhood-Tied Group CAIR et al at DoJ – Atlas Shrugs

High Treason: Obama and Holder Drop Indictments Against Muslim Brotherhood-Tied Group CAIR et al at DoJ – Atlas Shrugs.

File this as, unbelievable.  We seriously have an executive branch run amok.  Does no one in congress have the cajones to do something about this?!?

From Atlas Shrugs, comes this amazing revelation that we are choosing not to prosecute Islamist peeps who are most certainly supporting terror organizations (not to mention are actively seeking the overthrow of the United States).  Imagine if you will, as you read this, replace every instance of Muslim or Islam with Communist or Soviet and think about the outrage that would ensue from the public during the cold war.

It was always the plan to initially go after the [Holy Land Foundation] leaders first and then go after the rest of the accomplices in a second round of prosecutions. From a purely legal point of view, the case was solid. Jim Jacks [the U.S. attorney in Dallas who prosecuted the Holy Land Foundation executives] and his team were ready to go. There’s a mountain of evidence against all of these groups that was never introduced during the Holy Land trial and it is damning. We’ve got them on wiretaps. That’s exactly why many of these leaders and groups were named unindicted co-conspirators in the first round of prosecutions.

But from a political perspective there was absolutely no way that they could move forward. That’s why this decision came from the top down. These individuals who were going to be prosecuted are still the administration’s interfaith allies. Not only would these Muslim groups and their friends in the media be screaming “Islamophobia” at the top of their lungs and that this is a war against Islam, but the administration would look like absolute fools. It’s kind of hard to prosecute someone on material support for terrorism when you have pictures of them getting handed awards from DOJ and FBI leaders for their supposed counter-terror efforts. How would Holder explain that when we’re carting off these prominent Islamic leaders in handcuffs for their role in a terror finance conspiracy we’ve been investigating for years? This is how bad the problem is. Why are we continuing to have anything to do with these groups knowing what we know?

Please do read the rest here…

Interestingly, if you are curious as to what the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has to say about being named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holyland Foundation case, go to this link, Dispelling Rumors about CAIR.  It truly is a good read and could be a case study in how not to answer the accusation of being a conspirator in a terror finance conviction.  I would quote them but they would probably sue me; basically, it is all about how this and this source stated that the list of “unindicted co-conspirators” should never have been released, not how CAIR does not belong on the list in the first place.  If you want to read all their equivocations, it is number 6 on the list of Internet Disinformations.

Are they afraid that certain conections between Cair and high government officials might come out in a trial? This really smells.

For sure they are afraid. CAIR, the MAS and every other Muslim Brotherhood front organization is deeply entrenched in this and the last administration. Appearances are more important than the security of America apparently.

More to this than meets the eye. Another story that will be buried no doubt.

Its not hidden, its very much out there. CAIR has been labeled an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism funding case in history, yet we continue to treat them like they are on “our side”. The real problem is, “is our government on our side?”

Oh and the article is great although I know nothing about CAIR and Islam and don’t care to know.

I was in the USMC Reserves way back in the early 60’s. Didn’t see any action but learned a lot even though it was a PITA.
Sending you an email as soon as I go back to about me.

Great post Colin. I agree that this seems a bit fishy. I think we’re all being played and they’re not even hiding it anymore.

Nope, they are getting quite bold for their disdain for the rule of law. First steps to something? Maybe…

Bush was crucified for Travelgate. This won’t even make it to page 1,236. This is very discouraging. Although I’m against witch hunts, someone almost needs to conduct one on our Attorney General.

    • April 14, 2011 11:10 pm

Man, they need to investigate the whole damn administration. I agree with the whole witch-hunt thing, but this is not an isolated incident. The DOJ and others are criminally negligent in their lack of desire to prosecute people we have collected evidence of doing wrong. Not to mention the numerous FOIA requests that go completely ignored. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck…you get the picture.

I agree. Funny when Dems investigate it’s searching for the truth but when Republicans do it it’s a distraction.
