UN to US – “you are bad, blah, blah, blah”

November 5, 2010

US defends human rights record before UN body – Boston.com.

Another fail for the Obama administration.

Cuba, Venezuela, Russia and Iran were among the first to speak during the three-hour meeting that is the first time the U.S. has submitted its human rights record to the Geneva-based council.

Maybe we never submitted our record because of the hypocrisy of the council, hhmmmm?  And of course the usual suspects were chomping at the bit to get their digs in at the “Great Satan”.

While Iran is seething with righteous indignation over our human rights record, they are in the conundrum of whether to hang or stone to death a woman convicted of adultery.  To be fair, our Supreme Court was recently in a similar conundrum over whether or not a drug to be used in a lethal injection execution was “safe” for the convicted; hey he only killed someone, it’s not like he cheated on his wife or anything.  I wonder if Iran worries on the “safety” of the stones used to bludgeon someone to death?

We truly need to stop legitamizing the hypocrisy of the United Nations.  The Obama admin’s dream of a beautiful world full of unicorns and rainbows under the sanitarium slipper-blue banner of the UN is delusion at its best.  They are anything but united, unless its against America.

Defund the UN… first step in reducing our budget crisis. We pay the majority expense anyway, the the real estate location would be swell to have back.
