I sat here weeping openly while watching this video. We owe our freedom and liberty to the men and women who have defended our country, from the time of the founding fathers to present day. Thanks for sharing it with us, Colin.

There have always been those who have denigrated our military, either as a result of ideology or through lack of knowledge. It seems though that with the advent of the 24/7 news cycle, we now have a constant stream of ideologues spewing out their venom about anything negative associated with the military. Our last few generations have been indoctrinated in the public school system by these same ideologues, many of whom spit on our military returning from the war in Viet Nam. These generations have not gained a sufficient knowledge of our history to be able to appreciate the value of what a strong military has played in the making of the most free country ever to exist. We must do everything we can to help educate these young minds and reverse this trend. We must never, ever again elect a Commander-in-Chief who, as a basic tenet of their philosophy, hates the military and anything associated with it.

Here is a great video featuring the late Charleton Heston entitled, A Torch with No Flame that addresses this very same issue. Be sure and watch it to the end.

God Bless our Military, and God Bless America.

@Larry – I let a few flow myself, it is a powerful message.

@Steve – I am glad you liked it. Our military definitely appreciates any love it can get from back home.

@justfacts – It is a shame our newest generation is so willfully being taught negatives about America and her proud military heritage. The left look at our military as just another version of any imperialist army from the past, but they never acknowledge the amount of people across the world we have freed (more than anyone in history) nor the amount of money we have spent to rebuild countries after they forced us to intervene (again, pretty unheard of) – as far as imperialism goes, for sure in our early days we took land from war victories, but if we took all the land we could have from our 235 years, we would have half of Europe, Italy, North Africa, Cuba, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines, Panama, and Iraq.

I have seen the Charleton Heston video, it is very good.

What a great video Colin! A few tears here. I shed these tears not for what we have lost, but for all we have gained. Thank you Colin for the tribute. God Bless America.

Here’s a great example of what our schools are teaching the youth of today.

School Makes Boy Take American Flag Off Bike, Elissa Harrington, FOX40 News, Sacremento, CA

The US Flag is now politically incorrect. The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia strikes again.

Holy crap! That is freaking unbelievable. I will have to write about this tomorrow.

      Thanks for the link.

I guess Florida’s just a little less politically correct than Kalifornia.

      Saluting-our-heroes

How disgraceful, 3000 people showing up to honor our veterans. Children actually waving flags. What is this world coming to.
